Brooklyn-born and Jersey-raised, John Cusumano is a singer-songwriter with roots in rock and roll. In his original music one can pick out echoes of early rock and roll and the blues, doo-wop, emo, post-hardcore, folk, and indie... and yet all songs share a common thread of raw, articulate, and visceral emotion. He can be found performing his acoustic material at open mics around New York City, and at venues such as One World Observatory.  He is one of the founding members of progressive rock quartet John the Gun, who maintain an extremely active calendar of live performances and, as of 2017, are gearing up to record the follow up to their debut release "Tread Eternal". John also has a large repertoire of cover music on hand to perform and is available for hire for private functions of all kinds.
